What is an AI receptionist?
An AI receptionist is a call answering service run by AI instead of a person. Hello Anytime picks up the calls you miss in your business name, asks your questions, takes the caller's name, number and address, and texts you a summary about a minute later. It costs a fraction of a human answering service and answers day and night.
Will my customers hang up on a robot?
Some will, just as many hang up on voicemail. The difference: Hello Anytime texts anyone who hangs up, so you still get their number and can ring them back.
What if it gets details wrong?
It reads back the address and the problem before the call ends, and you can see exactly what was said in the app. It never agrees a price, and only books a time if you have switched that on.
What about emergencies?
Hello Anytime gives basic safety advice first (like turning off the water, or calling 999 or the gas emergency line 0800 111 999), takes the name and exact address, flags it urgent and texts you. Putting urgent callers straight through to you is switching on during the pilot. It is not an emergency service.
Is it really unlimited?
Yes. No monthly limit on calls or minutes, and no extra charges. Each single call can last up to 15 minutes, which is far longer than a normal enquiry needs. If it ever runs out, Hello Anytime says the details are passed on and the caller can always ring again. The fair use rules only stop misuse: one business per plan and normal incoming business calls. Do I keep my number?
Yes. Customers ring the number they already have. Your phone rings first, and only the calls you don't answer go to Hello Anytime.
I'm not techy. How hard is setup?
You dial one short code on your phone. The Hello Anytime Team sets everything else up with you on a short call, and you can change your greeting, questions and prices in the app.
Will it understand accents and other languages?
It handles most UK accents well in English. Other languages are switching on during the pilot, each one only after it passes real call tests. A strong accent or a bad line can still trip it up, which is why you always get the transcript as well as the summary.
Is call recording legal, and what about GDPR?
Yes, when callers are told, and Hello Anytime tells every caller at the start. You control your customers' data, can delete it, and old call data is deleted automatically on a set schedule. Full details in our Privacy Policy.
