Example call to Fernhill Vetsabout 1 min
Hi, you've reached Fernhill Vets. I'm the practice's AI assistant, and this call is recorded. How can I help?
My dog's just eaten a bag of raisins off the side.
Thank you for ringing straight away. What's your dog's name and breed, and roughly how many raisins?
Milo, a spaniel. Maybe a small handful.
Thanks. Please keep the bag. I'm flagging this as an emergency for the vet now. If we're closed, ring our out-of-hours emergency vet straight away, don't wait for a call back. What's your name?
Rachel Hunt.
Thanks Rachel. The team has an urgent alert and will call you in the next few minutes.

The problem

Vet receptionists are juggling the desk, the phone and worried owners at the same time. Missed calls become frustrated clients or, worse, a pet that waited too long.

Emergencies never wait

Breathing problems, collapse, bleeding, poisoning, bloat signs and blocked cats are flagged urgent at once, and out of hours callers are told to ring your emergency vet straight away.

No veterinary advice

Hello Anytime never gives doses, home remedies or says something can wait. It takes the facts so the vet can decide fast.

Booster and flea reminders Switching on in pilot

Vaccination and parasite treatment reminders in your practice name, so fewer pets go overdue.

After the call

Get paid, and get the next job.

One tap on any job sends the right text in your business name. Replies come straight to you, and anyone can reply STOP. "On my way" and "ready" texts are live; scheduled reminders and quote chasing are switching on during the pilot.

Questions from veterinary businesses

Straight answers.

More in the main FAQ, or ask the chat.

What does it tell callers when we're closed?

Whatever your out-of-hours arrangement is. Add your emergency provider's name and number in the app, and Hello Anytime gives it to anyone whose pet may be in an emergency.

Can it take repeat prescription requests?

Yes. It notes the pet, the medicine as the owner says it and when they'd like to collect, and the vet approves it as normal.

Will it tell owners prices for vaccinations or neutering?

Only the "from" prices you add. It always says the vet confirms the final cost.

Do I keep my number?

Yes. Customers keep ringing your usual number. You forward only the calls you miss to a Hello Anytime number we give you, which your customers never need to know.

When does Hello Anytime answer?

Your phone rings first. If you don't pick up within about 20 seconds, the call goes to Hello Anytime. On a mobile the divert code is **61*your Hello Anytime number**20#, and you can change the 20 to 5, 10, 15, 25 or 30 seconds. You can also send every call straight to Hello Anytime, for example at night, and switch it back with a short code.

What about a landline?

Mobiles use one short code. Landlines divert differently depending on your provider, and some (like BT) may charge for it. We'll help you set it up.
